Water Introduction With Jonesy

I took Michter to Jonesy's today for 2 weeks of bird dog camp. These are videos I took on day one. Michter had played in water before this but he never actually swam. Within the first 5 minutes, Jonesy had him swimming across the pond.

The field work was done at 1pm and it was 86 with high humidity. Jonesy told me we shouldn't work him, but you know how it is, I wanted to get a video of him pointing. I should have listened to Jonesy. Michter was hot and tired by this point in the day.

We took him to the pond to cool off at the end after a lot of hard work.

It was a great day and I can't thank Jonesy enough.

Just had my first bottle of Michters last month. Pretty good. Jonesy used to post quite a bit on one of the other did forums. He seemed like a good trainer. Where's your dog from? Looks like he's getting a good start, good luck with him.

I love bourbon and Micthers is one of my favorite if you couldn't guess! :)

Jonesy's a really good guy and seems to produce really nice dogs.

My pup is Arko vom Cherry Creek out of Cherry Creek Kennels in Denver, CO. He is 4 months old so I got a lot of work to do with him still, but I'm having a great time so far.

Thanks!

I am getting a couple of new pups over the next year or so. Starting with a Vizsla female to replace one I lost in May and go from there. I don't want to get two pups at the same time or too close to each other.

I am going to have Jonesy work with them.

I'm about 2 hours away from Jonesy. Let me know when you are going down and I will try to go down at the same time and make a training day of it.
