Periodontal Disease

Has anyone had experience with this tooth problem ..
I am being told by a vet that his Agressive behaviour may be
Caused by his teeth condition pain .
They would have to put him under examine the condition
Of his teeth , possible extraction

Were his teeth cleaned of buildup/scale periodically? That usually prevents gum disease. Is the vet saying they can't examine the gums on this dog without putting him under because he's aggressive?

Either way, I would think you'd want to explore that avenue if it isn't cost prohibitive before deciding to put him down.
I've had several really good dogs, but none were perfect. Neither am I, so keep that in mind!
