Closing Day Pics

Postby RowdyGSP » Sat Mar 31, 2018 9:15 pm

Like the last thread in the Hunting section I made, this is a different type of "hunting." Today was the closing day in Idaho for trapping beaver, muskrat, mink, otter, etc. Basically all water animals. Headed out after work yesterday to set 4 conibears for beaver. Checked this morning and had a double. Meat in the freezer and a sore back from skinning and fleshing. Life is good.

If this blizzard stops like it's supposed to, was thinking about going out tonight for musky.

Glad to see someone is still getting out. That is a nice catch. 2 beaver in only four traps is a pretty good set. What is a blizzard? It's been 90 degrees already and I have not worn long pants or closed toed shoes outside of work since January 28th.

Snow LOL. I didn't even wear a jacket my last 2 days of duck season at the end of January.

It is April 4th and we had snow coming down off and on today. More predicted tomorrow then turning to rain.

Last night me and a few buddies had a few drinks at the local watering hole. We were outside on the patio till 8 pm all in shorts t shirts and sandals. The only beavers in sight were all split tail variety and my wife put an end to me hunting them....... I wish there was a pursuit only season

“Pursuit only season.” What happens at the watering hole, stays at the watering hole.
