Barking at approaching waterfowl

In goose hunting he barks when they are coming in. how can I fix that?

Most people really get after a dog that does that then wonder why the dog is loosing some of his edge. My spaniel did this for a while as a pup, before I steadied him at the line. I needed to keep a hold of him or tie him up, I was holding him against his will. Then I line steadied him and he was holding him self back and he stopped. I would try this first and see what happens it never hurts to line steady any dog. If you need help on line steadying let me know. Ron
