Often breeding hurt male's sperm count?

What would happen if I bred our 2.5 yr old male more than once a day? We have two females who seem to be cycling together. Would his sperm count suffice? (he has fathered 3 good litters, and is in excellent health.)
Pros? Cons?
Susan

I think what would happen is that you'd have 2 pregnant dogs. Most healthy breeding-age male dogs have an adequate sperm count to breed twice daily at least in the short term. Since it sounds like you are only breeding your dogs, I don't think it would be a problem. If you think your household can withstand 2 litters of puppies screaming around the place than go for it! Good luck, Dr. Mike
